Local partnerships make lasting impacts
Since 1989, Liberty has built close relationships with local landowners, businesses, governments, and community organizations in the many communities that host our renewable facilities across North America. Working together to sustain energy and water for life, we have the opportunity to bring lasting benefits to the local economies and communities in the areas hosting our renewable energy projects.
The Waller Solar Project, located in Lancaster County, near the communities of Alfonso and Nuttsville will generate over $15 million in new tax and other revenue for the County over the 40-year project life. In addition, during construction, the Project will create more than 100 new jobs. And once built, the Project will also create 3 to 5 good-paying permanent jobs for the operation and maintenance of the facility.
In addition to these economic benefits, the Waller Solar Project team members have been active and engaged in the local community. In the fall of 2022, we were proud to support the following local programs:
